ADELLER Care Guide
Made Well. Care for Them Well.
ADELLER sneakers are crafted from premium materials selected for their feel, finish, and character. With the right care, your sneakers can continue to look refined and feel comfortable through years of wear.
Natural leather and suede develop character over time. A thoughtful care routine will help protect their appearance while allowing each pair to age naturally.
Everyday Care
A few simple habits can make a significant difference to the appearance and longevity of your ADELLER sneakers.
- Remove light dust and surface dirt after wear using a soft, dry cloth or brush.
- Allow your sneakers to air naturally between wears.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain, standing water, mud, or extreme heat.
- Use shoe trees or lightly stuff the sneakers with clean, acid-free tissue paper when storing them.
- Rotate your footwear where possible to allow materials to rest and recover between wears.
Cleaning small marks regularly is better than allowing dirt to build up over time.
Caring for Italian Nappa Leather
Premium Italian nappa leather is valued for its softness, flexibility, and smooth natural finish. Because it is a refined material, gentle care is recommended.
- Remove loose dust with a soft, dry cloth.
- For light marks, use a slightly damp, clean cloth and gently wipe the affected area.
- Allow the leather to dry naturally at room temperature.
- If using a leather conditioner or specialist cleaner, choose one suitable for premium nappa leather.
Always test any cleaning or conditioning product on a small, discreet area before applying it more widely.
Avoid aggressive scrubbing, household detergents, alcohol-based cleaners, and excessive water, as these may alter the finish or color of the leather.
Caring for Suede
Suede has a naturally soft, textured surface that requires different care from smooth leather.
- Allow any dirt or mud to dry completely before cleaning.
- Use a clean suede brush to gently lift dirt and restore the natural nap.
- Brush lightly and consistently rather than applying excessive pressure.
- For stubborn marks, use a specialist suede eraser or cleaner designed specifically for suede footwear.
Try to avoid saturating suede with water. If it becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally before gently brushing the surface.
Brush suede periodically even when it does not appear dirty. This helps maintain its soft, even texture.
Cleaning the Rubber Outsole
The rubber outsole can be cleaned separately from the leather and suede upper.
- Remove loose dirt using a soft brush or dry cloth.
- Use a lightly damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap if needed.
- Focus cleaning on the rubber and avoid transferring excess moisture onto the leather or suede upper.
- Wipe away any remaining residue with a clean damp cloth.
- Allow the sneakers to dry naturally.
Cleaning the Laces
Removing the laces before cleaning allows you to care for both the laces and upper more effectively.
Wash laces gently by hand using cool or lukewarm water and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before relacing your sneakers.
Avoid bleaching colored or tonal laces, as this may alter their appearance.
If Your Sneakers Get Wet
If your ADELLER sneakers become wet, allow them to dry slowly and naturally.
- Remove the laces if they are heavily wet.
- Gently blot excess moisture with a clean, absorbent cloth.
- Lightly fill the shoes with clean tissue paper to help retain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Leave them in a well-ventilated area at room temperature.
Hair dryers, radiators, tumble dryers, and other heat sources can dry out leather, affect adhesives, and alter the shape of the shoe.
How to Store Your ADELLER Sneakers
Proper storage helps preserve the shape, materials, and finish of your sneakers.
- Clean your sneakers before long-term storage.
- Make sure they are completely dry before placing them away.
- Store them in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
- Use shoe trees or lightly stuff them with clean tissue paper to help maintain their form.
- Keep your sneakers in their ADELLER dust bag or box when not being worn for extended periods.

The Character of Natural Materials
Leather and suede are natural materials, meaning subtle variations in grain, texture, and tone may occur from pair to pair.
These characteristics are not imperfections. They are part of what makes each pair distinctive.
With wear, premium leather may soften, develop gentle creasing, and take on a character unique to the way you wear it.
We believe this natural evolution is part of the beauty of well-made footwear.
